Mary Valaika was born and raised in the Midwest, before hightailing to New York City where she worked in the fashion industry for various companies such as Ann Taylor, The GAP and Brooks Brothers.

Mary’s real passion, however, was designing interiors and when she moved to London in 2008 with her husband and two young sons she studied at the Inchbald School of Design. Upon graduation Mary founded Mary Valaika Design Limited, and put her 20 plus years in the fashion industry behind her.

For Mary, the home is both a sanctuary and an ever evolving font of creativity. Her spaces are calm, natural, uncomplicated and global — inspired by discoveries in Parisian flea markets, Istanbul bazaars and mountain villages in Morocco.

Mary loves yoga, cooking and travel.
